Protecting your privacy is a priority for Difference Plus.

This policy aims to inform you of the guidelines established to protect information and personal data that you entrust to our organization via the Web or any other means, all in compliance with the rules and laws on the protection of privacy that apply to Difference Plus.

Difference Plus is subject to the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, L.Q., 1993, c. P-39.1.

Your consent may be withdrawn at any time as indicated in section 12 of this policy.

The personal information that Difference Plus may collect, following your consent and depending on the circumstances, is as follows:

Personal information (surname, first name, telephone numbers, postal addresses and e-mail);

Date of birth and gender;

Copy of identity cards;

Social Insurance number.

The collection of personal information by Difference Plus takes place when you use our services and you voluntarily communicate your personal information. For example in:

Personal or online meeting;

Sending a question or comment by any means of communication.

The collection of personal information is limited to the information necessary for the purposes specified in this policy. When we collect your information, you will have the opportunity to refuse to have it stored for later use by Difference Plus.

Allow you to be identified and authenticated;

Allow Difference Plus to process claims on your behalf;

Communicate with you periodically in writing, orally or electronically in order to to keep you informed of the activities or initiatives of the Difference Plus in the context of a claim;

Allow Difference Plus to carry out the necessary follow-up with regards to the work to be carried out;

Your file will be stored digitally on the Difference Plus computer server and physically in our offices.

  • Disclosure of Personal Information

Difference Plus may disclose your personal information to third parties in the following cases:

With government agencies or companies holding unclaimed properties with which Difference Plus processes claims for of its clients who are under a service contract;

Difference Plus ensures, within reasonable limits, that these third parties respect the rules and commitments of this policy by taking the necessary measures in this regard.

  1. Accessibility by staff

Difference Plus has taken measures to guarantee the greatest protection of your personal information and employees with access to it will only be able to access the information necessary to carry out their duties.

  1. Web cookies and audience analysis

Certain pages of the Difference Plus website require the sending of cookies in order to help site users navigate more quickly and offer them the content that interests them most. No personal information is stored in cookies.

Browsing information may be shared with authorized third parties with whom Difference Plus collaborates. The navigation information does not contain any personal data. Difference Plus ensures, within reason, that authorized third parties take the necessary measures to respect the confidentiality of your data.

The Difference Plus website may offer hyperlinks to other websites. Information exchanged on these sites is not subject to this privacy policy.

Difference Plus takes reasonable measures to ensure the accuracy of personal information when using or communicating it. We thank you for contributing to this accuracy by communicating with us change that must be made to your personal information or any error that may occur. Difference Plus allows you, subject to the conditions and exemptions provided for by law, to have access to the personal information that Difference Plush olds about you. You may also request a copy of your file, for a reasonable fee.

  • Right to rectification or deletion of personal information

It will of course be possible for you to rectify the personal information that Difference Plus has collected if this information is inaccurate, incomplete, equivocal, out of date or not justified by the objectives described in section 7 of this policy. You will also be able to delete any confidential information collected from manner not in accordance with the law.

  • Right to withdraw consent

Any request for access, rectification or deletion must be made in writing and accompanied by proof of identity. Upon receipt of the request, Difference Plus will respond to it within thirty (30) days at the latest.

Following reading of this Data Privacy Policy and confirmation that they adhere to it, any person concerned by the collection of confidential information declares that he/she understands that it has been permitted to refuse that Difference Plus collects confidential information concerning it and also confirms:

That he/she accepts that Difference Plus collects confidential information about him/her to achieve the objectives described in section 7 of this policy;

That he/she accepts that Difference Plus shares the confidential information collected in order to achieve the common objectives described in section 7 of this policy;

That he/she accepts that the information concerning him/her (surname, first name, numbers telephone numbers, postal addresses, email, identity documents, SIN) are transmitted to third parties, partners of Difference Plus, for the purposes of file processing, which will be linked to the objectives specified in section 7 of the this policy and that his/her choice to adhere to this policy constituted a valid opportunity to refuse that his information are used by third parties for the aforementioned purposes;

 

That he/she understands that this consent is revocable.
